Hungarian musicians recall secret jazz recordings from 1956

He was one of the musicians whose band recorded jazz tunes with the help of an American diplomat who rented a recording studio in Budapest in 1956. At the time, jazz was banned in Hungary by the communist regime but the recordings of the Hungarian musicians were broadcast by the Voice of America in Nov. 1956.
