[ENG] The wide angle is not always the right answer! In this case, for example, the sunset sky was completely free from clouds and somewhat “boring”, so I decided to switch the wide lens in favor of a tele lens to focus the attention on the chromatic contrast between the waterfall and the warm tones of the golden hour. Those clouds that appear gloomy in this photo were actually a drop of color on a completely cyan sky!
The shot was taken in southern Iceland, near a waterfall called Bruarfoss, which has become famous (needless to say) for its waters of a surreal color to say the least! [ITA] Non sempre il grandangolo è la soluzione più azzeccata! In questo caso ad esempio, il cielo al tramonto era completamente libero dalle nuvole ed alquanto “noioso”, ho quindi deciso di cambiare lente e montare un medio tele per concentrare tutta l’’attenzione sul contrasto cromatico della cascata e dei toni caldi dell’ora d’oro. Quelle nuvole che in questa foto appaiono cupe in realtà erano una goccia di colore su un cielo completamente terso! Lo scatto è stato fatto nell’Islanda del sud, nei pressi di una cascata chiamata Bruarfoss, divenuta famosa (neanche a dirlo) per le sue acque di un colore a dir poco surreale! – March ’21 Iceland Photo Workshop: www.leonardopapera.com/tours/iceland-photo-workshop-eng/
