Roman Experiment by Elia Locardi

The COVID-19 lockdown turned out to be the perfect time to create a Sky Library because, one, I’ve been unable to shoot anything new so far in 2020, two, I had plenty of B-Roll to go though in my archives from the past 10 years of travel, and three, because I can simply walk from my home to either the ocean or the river within a few short minutes. So for this latest “Epic Sunsets Sky Library,” the first stage was shoot sunrises and sunsets for a couple of months. The next phase was to test them using Skylum Luminar – rigorously, and on dozens of images. The goal was to ensure that they’d work for a multitude of images and applications. This particular shot was one of the more challenging test files. I’d you look closely, while the sky was replaced, it’s also technically a time blend of the sunset plus the blue hour. And while I’d clearly rather actually be shooting in Rome, this was the perfect project to work on while being locked down in Florida. I’ve always said that in this state, we have the best skies with the most boring foregrounds. 😊 bit.ly/Download-Epic-Sunsets
