A Sea of Light and Thoughts by Bruno Soares

So many are the times when I try simply not to think about anything. An arduous desire to clear my head so that I can just be in the present without a single plan to make for other moments.
And so often, I fail, as my mind quickly escapes and travels to other places, ideas, or even ongoing projects. Paradoxically, when I stop trying to control all this turmoil that are my thoughts, I manage to reduce my being to the “now”! When I sat down that day, I just wanted to be there, calm, watching another sunset, to photograph another landscape that will forever be in my memory!
Without large imposing or excellent subjects to compose, I was left with that infinite sea that blended into the sky on the horizon! Suddenly, while contemplating all the beauty of that sea of ​​light, I felt how my mind, my being, so resembled that idyllic landscape! Abstract, brilliant and uncontrollable.
I wondered how, just as the sea joins the sky of clouds mixing all colours, my thoughts insist on travelling without apparent conclusion through a tangle of cloudy plans! And at that very moment, about nothing, I managed to think!
